- This is the blog of your typical Asian-American who was recalled into active duty in the US Army after 6 years of IRR status. After spending a year in Baghdad with MNSTC-I, I returned home to Texas in April of 2008. I'm now readjusting to civilian life (again) and this is just a smattering of my babble.

just glad to see that you are safe. i see that you are slowly going insane. that is what happens in the service. in case you want to know who this is....i am the blondehairjew father-in-law. i met you before you went in when you stayed at brians for a couple of weeks? or was it one? my nephew just got back. he is in the navy....sounds like some 70's song i remember from somewhere in my memory bank. he is going back for one year, escorting and patrolling the shores. take care.
To answer your question son, you left your name on there because that is the kind of person you are. Patriotic to the core. You love your country and would do whatever it takes to defend it. Your thoughtful enough to think that by you going, someone else can stay at home with their family. You believe in people enough to think that the people there are worth you going over there. Because you have respect for and faith in all human beings that try to do good, so much so that your probably the most understanding and caring person I know.
So take a deep breath and get back on track. It sounds like your getting to tired to think like you.
Remember how much so many of us love you and how proud we are of you for the sacrifice your making.

Hi Glen, I'm not sure if you'll remember me but my name is Erin Vasher (Krey now, got married) and we were both photographers on the Wayne memorial paper.
I have to tell you, i have nothing but fond memories of you, you were always so kind to me when so many weren't. I sent you a message thru myspace and then read that you wouldn't be able to retrieve it so i'm sending you another.
When I was going thru wayne memorial alumni looking for a friend of mine i stumbled across your profile and my heart caught in my throat to find out that someone who was so kind and decent is now over there risking his life for his country. My thoughts and heart go out to you for a safe return. and when you come home to visit i would be honored if you looked me up. my husband and i both hike (he's a thru hiker and is taking on isle royale in 3 weeks) and i would love it if you would take a day hike with us. of course considering where you are now hiking is probably the last thing you want to do! i'm still a photographer, on the side of course, it never has paid the bills lol, and am trying to start my own pet photography business. sounds wierd i know, but it's the wave of the future, trust me lol! so anywhoo, i just wanted to let you know, you once were kind to a lonely fat girl, and she remembers you. please stay safe.
